Stream Hydrology Query - Daily Statistics
Home

This page will query the MCM LTER database for daily statistical information about hydrologic data (discharge rate, temperature, specific conductance) from data collected every 15 minutes by automated stream gauges placed in the Dry Valleys during the austral summer season. The results will be in comma-delimited format - save the results page with a .csv extension, then open in a spreadsheet. Please follow the metadata link below before submitting the form - the link will change according to your stream gauge selection. The metadata refer to the original 15-minute interval data - you may query all hydrology data here (15-minute intervals).

Included Statistics (calculated by day):

  • Mean
  • Standard Deviation
  • Minimum Daily Value
  • Maximum Daily Value
  • Number of Observations (n)
  • Total Daily Flow (L) - calculated for currently gauged streams only. Note the value of n: data are missing and the TDaily field is innacurate if n < 96 (every 15 minutes for 1 day)
