Natasha's undergraduate research involved studying metazoan diversity with Dr. Byron Adams in the McMurdo Dry Valleys and the Transantarctic Mountains, and she also studied microbial communities in Arctic streams. She is interested in how microbial communities assemble and how they relate to ecosystem function, particularly in polar region nutrient cycles.
